Description
1913/Picatinny/Sig type stock or arm brace adapter for your Springfield Kuna. Our aluminum mount features an integrated QD socket and directly replaces the factory polymer mount. Our mount is machined from billet 6061T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized to MIL-A-8625.
Note: Due to typical production tolerances in the Kuna receiver geometry, your rear takedown pin could fit more tightly with our adapter than with the factory adapter. The factory adapters are polymer, which is a more flexible material, and can account for a wider range of hole locations. Our adapters are aluminum, which is a more rigid material, and therefore have a smaller range in which the takedown pin can be a true “slip fit”. Because of this, we designed our mating geometry to favor the tight side of the tolerance zone, guaranteeing that our adapters will always fall between a slip-fit and tight-fit condition; never too loose. Ultimately, and depending on your receiver, you might need to use a rubber mallet or punch to install/remove your rear takedown pin (nothing more). We believe the risk of being tighter and potentially needing a punch to better than the possibility of your adapter fitting loosely/wobble with a stock/brace attached.

Excellent part for a necessary upgrade to the KUNA. This fit even better than the stock polymer piece and tightened up the upper-to-lower fit at the rear take-down pin. Absolutely perfect.

Excellent quality part! Fit and finish are amazing! The installation is just like the stock part. Seems to tighten up the upper and provides for worry-free attachment of a brace or stock if going SBR (everyone should 2-stamp this firearm). For myself, this was a “must” upgrade that I had been anticipating. Thanks to HBI, my Kuna build is now complete.
The adapter is a direct replacement for the OEM poly part, which may be a potential weak point. The fit and finish is perfect on my set-up.

This is the part that Springfield should have specified instead of the polymer M1913 rail. This point of attachment is a potential point of stress, especially if the firearm with extended brace is mishandled (dropped, for example).
The part I received is precision made, fits perfectly – not too tight, and not loose at all. The Kuna assembles and disassembles without problem, with the pins tight but not overly stuck in place. The part I received fit in by hand without the use of any tools.
Finish is excellent and appropriate.

Built like a brick shoot house. Far stouter than factory. The rear takedown pin fits a bit tight however most everyone says to be patient and allow it to bed in. The QD port is also extremely tight which could be a concern with my Magpul sling mount choice. Perhaps I’ll look into options that minimize or eliminate that issue. -0.5 points for each brings it to 4 stars.
