Fits great, functions well, and comfortable (the face next to the trigger guard is square instead of stepped back at an angle like the factory one making it easier to manipulate with a trigger finger)… It is everything I expected it to be… but wait, there’s more!
**PLUS** Empty mags now drop freely.
– I had seen conflicting reviews of the Scorpion not dropping empty mags. It’s true, the mags do not drop free when the bolt is locked open (you know… when it matters!). When the bolt is closed spring pressure can push them out easily. With that being said, this Paddle Mag Release from HB Industries now allows the magazines to drop freely even on an open bolt! An added bonus I was not expecting!

The supplied spring is too soft. I bumped the release while slung and dumped a mag or two. I like the lever, it works fine, but the supplied spring is a fail.

Highly recommended upgrade for the Evo! I found the stock mag release uncomfortable to manipulate; could not really use it using the thumb of my support hand when changing mags and the aggressive serrations made for a painful experience when you use it a lot in a short span of time without gloves. Enter the HBI paddle release: Excellent design with enough surface area in the right places to easily allow manipulation using your index finger or the thumb of your support hand!
