I have not used this but I have some virgin barrels with undrilled front sight posts I will be using these on.
I could use toothpicks but by the time I sanded them down to size and oiled them up I would have to notch them just right.
Rather just pay the $7.00.
So fricken glad somebody put the money and connections into this. I’m sure millions have been wondeing why somebody hasn’t made them. I don’t know if you could sell these to big industries unless you found out how big the gas holes were and made a bunch of them the same size but for a guy that got a few $80.00 barrels and wants to put new front sight bases its a heck of a lot better than a jig. I will be setting my fsb with a set screw before I drill them out.

Great little product. I ordered two of these a while ago for two builds I was doing. They worked as you show in your video, and were extremely helpful with the clamp-on style gas blocks, since you don’t have a screw to mate up with the dimple some barrels provide. I got a set of these in a TacPack box and they have proven themselves invaluable. I used to have to put in a lot more work to be sure the gas port/block were lined up correctly, now it only takes seconds and I know it is aligned 100%. I am almost out of them and will be ordering more.

Great product.
Great for aligning gas block to port hole. Great for determining if you have a proper sized gas port, or if it’s undersized or oversized . Very easy to use. Dimple your barrel with a drill press, use this product and not much can go wrong. Makes everything how it should be very easily.

Holy smokes I’ve been looking for something that would align the gas port with block didn’t know about these until now. Paid way to much to a gunsmith to do it and he even screwed up the job, now with these I can do it myself.
