Description
HBI drop in Safety Selectors for your Springfield Kuna. Our thumb selectors feature significantly more surface area and are ideal for shooters looking to increase confidence (and speed) with the Kuna fire controls. The carefully contoured ledges and rounded edges provide a high quality, comfortable, and very positive and tactile feel when operating the selector between safe/fire. While larger than the factory selectors, they DO NOT interfere with the trigger finger while the weapon is being fired (see images in gallery). Machined from billet 6061T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized to MIL-A-8625.
Our selectors may be used to replace one/both of your factory selectors, or paired up with one of our Kuna AK Selectors or Kuna Selector Delete for the ultimate setup. If you want to reduce the force required to operate the selector assembly, we make a Kuna Reduced Weight Selector Spring as well.

I wasn’t exactly sure what benefit these would bring me but decided to give them a shot. Pleasantly surprised. Texture is super grippy and there is more space to grab/press. Great addition to my build.

Combining this mod with a lighter safety spring yields a significant difference. Easy to reach with thumb and doesnt get in the way when firing!

Solves the contact problem as promised and reported. Finicky to install the left side but that was either a Kona problem or a installer problem. Something was impeding alignment but I overcame it. I do wish the selectors were marked white like the factory set but I’ll get over that quickly as I become more familiar with it and the visual becomes unimportant.

QUALITY! If you like AR type selector feel, this is perfection. The factory internal selector drum is not plastic, un-like the factory plastic long -thumb lever selectors so it’s a must have upgrade. I installed the reduced detent selector spring, and a right side delete for a perfect throw with your fire control hand. Mask off the parts before install with a touch of white paint to fill in the line and it’s an excellent upgrade from factory. Thanks HB!

Update: I used a white paint marker and a old rag in the notch of the selectors and all is cool. I found this handy for identifying safe on the bench at home and at the range. Can I give it another half star please? Thanks HBI.
