Description
1913/Picatinny/Sig type stock or arm brace adapter for your Springfield Kuna. Our aluminum mount features an integrated QD socket and directly replaces the factory polymer mount. Our mount is machined from billet 6061T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized to MIL-A-8625.
Note: HBI stocks and braces for Springfield Kuna are made to factory spec, and are compatible with 100% of factory lower receivers. They may/may not directly fit aftermarket lower receivers. If using a Nexus aluminum lower receiver it may be necessary to remove about .005-.010″ of material from the inside of each “fork” flange on their lower in order to mount one of our Kuna stock adapters.

Excellent part for a necessary upgrade to the KUNA. This fit even better than the stock polymer piece and tightened up the upper-to-lower fit at the rear take-down pin. Absolutely perfect.

Excellent quality part! Fit and finish are amazing! The installation is just like the stock part. Seems to tighten up the upper and provides for worry-free attachment of a brace or stock if going SBR (everyone should 2-stamp this firearm). For myself, this was a “must” upgrade that I had been anticipating. Thanks to HBI, my Kuna build is now complete.
The adapter is a direct replacement for the OEM poly part, which may be a potential weak point. The fit and finish is perfect on my set-up.

They said it may require some hammering to get it in due to fit and finish on there end. but mine just slid right in with no effort

This is the part that Springfield should have specified instead of the polymer M1913 rail. This point of attachment is a potential point of stress, especially if the firearm with extended brace is mishandled (dropped, for example).
The part I received is precision made, fits perfectly – not too tight, and not loose at all. The Kuna assembles and disassembles without problem, with the pins tight but not overly stuck in place. The part I received fit in by hand without the use of any tools.
Finish is excellent and appropriate.

Built like a brick shoot house. Far stouter than factory. The rear takedown pin fits a bit tight however most everyone says to be patient and allow it to bed in. The QD port is also extremely tight which could be a concern with my Magpul sling mount choice. Perhaps I’ll look into options that minimize or eliminate that issue. -0.5 points for each brings it to 4 stars.

Great fit and built solid. I am disappointed that the rear pin fits so tight though. I like being able to take-down the firearm without tools. That is no longer the case. The rear pin absolutely requires a drift punch. I’m not sure how it will “bed in” since it’s not a wear item.

As others have noted the rear takedown pin for is right with this. A little oil helps but I just keep a a plastic punch handy to pull the pin. It seats easily enough with finger pressure. After seeing a drop test on YouTube, this upgrade seems like a good idea.

Very tight fit as noted by others but this might be my favorite single upgrade on my Kuna. The added QD point is in the *perfect* position for slinging the Kuna under my arm and having the gun lay flat naturally against my body.
